Integrating Movement & Learning: Connecting with the Educational Process

Dates: July 14 & 16, 9:00 am. to 4:00 pm. and July 18, 9:00 am. to noon, 2008

Content: Emphasis is on teaching academic concepts through movement. Participants learn how to create & tailor movement experiences appropriate for communicating ideas & content to students. A Multiple Intelligences approach to teaching is demonstrated throughout the class, along with Active Learning teaching strategies. Connections between movement-based teaching techniques and popular educational theories are also provided.

Credit: Class is worth one hour of university graduate credit
